2. Changes to this agreement
Whenever this agreement is updated, we will inform you and ask for your consent.
3. Obligations
3.1 Service eligibility
You promise that you are eligible to enter into this contract and that you are at least the “Minimum Age”. The services are not for anyone under 16. To use the services, you agree that:
- you are the Minimum Age or older;
- you will have only one JNV Krishna Alumni Association account, in your real name; and
- you are not already restricted by the JNV Krishna Alumni Association from using the services.
Creating an account with false information breaks these terms. This includes accounts registered on behalf of others or for anyone under 16.
“Minimum Age” means 16 years old. If the law requires you to be older for us to provide the services lawfully without parental consent (including use of your personal data), the Minimum Age is that older age.
3.2 Your account
You will keep your password secret, will not share your account with anyone else, and will follow our rules and the law. Members are account holders. You agree to:
- choose a strong and secure password;
- keep your password secure and confidential;
- not transfer any part of your account (for example, connections); and
- follow the law and our community guidelines.
You are responsible for anything that happens through your account unless you close it or report misuse.
3.3 Payment
You will honour your payment obligations, and you are okay with us storing your payment information. Because we collect only donations, donations are not refundable; see our Refund Policy. For any other payment issue, please contact us.
3.4 Notices and messages
You are okay with us sending you notices and messages through our websites, apps and contact information. We will send them in these ways:
- within the service; or
- to the contact information you gave us (for example email, mobile number or postal address).
You agree to keep your contact information up to date. If it is out of date, you may miss important notices. You can review your settings to control and limit the messages you receive from us.
3.5 Sharing
Information you share on the platform may be seen by other members, in line with your privacy settings and our Privacy Policy.
4. Allowed content
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. Information posted by members must be accurate and must not violate the intellectual property or other rights of third parties. Everything you post, in chat, stories, comments, the gallery or the business directory, must follow our Community Guidelines, which list the content that is never allowed. To complain about content posted by a member, write to our Grievance Officer.
5. Termination
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting your account from the JNV Krishna Alumni Association website and no longer using any of our services.

6.2 Your messages
You are responsible for what you post. You keep the rights you have in your messages and files. You allow the Association to store them and show them to the people in the room or conversation, only so that we can run the chat. You can delete your own messages, and you can ask us to erase your chat data as described in the Privacy Policy.
6.3 Moderation
Room admins and our moderators may remove messages that break the Community Guidelines or the law, and may warn, mute, remove or suspend members, following the steps in the guidelines. Moderators see a message only when it is reported; site administrators cannot browse chats. We act on complaints within the times set by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and we comply with lawful orders of courts and authorities.
