The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Krishna Alumni Association ("JNVKAA", "we") lets members promote their own businesses with small banner ads in a few fixed areas of the website and the app. This policy applies to every ad, together with our Terms & Conditions, Community Guidelines and Refund Policy. By applying for an ad you agree to it.
Who can advertise
- Registered, active JNVKAA members only.
- You can advertise a business listing that you own and that an admin has approved in the alumni business directory. A paused, pending or rejected listing can't be advertised.
- Listing a business stays free. Advertising is optional.
What an ad may promote
An ad may promote only the advertiser's own approved JNVKAA business listing: its products, services, offers, opening or events. It may link to the listing page on jnvkaa.org or to the business's own website. Ads for other businesses, causes, people or third-party offers are not accepted.
What is not allowed
We don't accept ads that promote, show or link to:
- alcohol, tobacco, vaping or other intoxicants;
- gambling, betting, lotteries, fantasy games played for money or similar schemes;
- adult or sexually suggestive content, dating or escort services;
- weapons, ammunition or explosives;
- political parties, candidates or campaigns, and religious campaigning or conversion;
- financial schemes that promise returns, including multi-level marketing, chit funds that aren't registered, crypto "opportunities", and investment or loan offers with guaranteed gains;
- misleading, exaggerated or unverifiable claims, fake discounts, or "miracle" health and education results;
- content that is hateful, discriminatory, defamatory or harassing, or that targets any person or group;
- anything illegal in India, or that infringes someone else's trademark, copyright or privacy.
Standards for the ad itself
- Image: one image, cropped to the exact size of the area you choose. It must be clear and readable, and you must own it or have permission to use it. Text in the image should be short.
- Words: a headline of up to 60 characters and an optional description of up to 140, in plain, honest language. No all-capitals shouting, excessive symbols or fake buttons.
- Link: the ad leads to your listing page or your own business website. The landing page must match the ad and must not ask visitors for passwords or payment details under a false pretext.
- Labelling: every ad is shown with a visible "Sponsored" label. Ads never cover content, pop up, follow you down the page or play sound.
Review and approval
The admin team reviews every ad before it can run, and again when you change it. We may approve it, ask for changes or reject it, and we tell you why. Approval isn't an endorsement of your business by JNVKAA. You remain responsible for your ad, your claims and your business.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown for each area and period in rupees, inclusive of applicable taxes. The price you apply with is fixed for that ad, even if prices change later.
- You pay only after your ad is approved, online through Razorpay or by UPI with a payment reference that the office verifies.
- Every payment gets a receipt number. Advertising fees are payments for a service, not donations, and are not eligible for any donation tax benefit.
When ads run
- An ad starts at 00:00 IST on the start date you asked for, or when it is paid if that's later, and runs for the number of days in the plan.
- Each area shows a few ads at a time, which take turns. We don't guarantee a number of views or clicks.
- You can pause and resume an ad. Pausing doesn't extend the end date. Pausing or deleting your listing also stops its ads.
- If an area is full on your dates, the admin team will tell you when it's next free.
Removal and refunds
The admin team may reject, pause or stop an ad that breaks this policy, the law or our community guidelines, or that draws valid complaints, at any time. If you delete a listing while its paid ad is running, the ad ends and the fee is not refunded. A refund for an ad stopped after payment is at the association's discretion, under the Refund Policy. Ads withdrawn before payment cost nothing.
Measurement and your data
We count how often each ad is shown and clicked, per day, and show you those totals. We don't store personal data about visitors with these counts, and we don't share members' data with advertisers. See the Privacy Policy.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version, and changes apply to ads submitted or renewed after that date. Questions about an ad? Contact the office. To report an ad that breaks these rules, write to the Grievance Officer.
